What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?:
Blocked scammer on tinder, deactivated my instagram, facebook and
twitter. Deleted messages on Skype (including the one where I gave my phone
number), blocked the scammer on skype and deleted skype (not my account
though).

Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help
prevent someone else from being scammed.:
I still haven't been contacted. But as soon as the "video chat" was over
I was suspicious.

Because the post above is incomplete, I registered to add this information.

The scammer subsequently made contact through whatsapp in order to extort money. They sent photos and a video. They also screenshot from sendvid, but the link doesn't / didn't work. They had screenshots of my instagram contacts and threatened to send it to my contacts. I blocked them all without replying. Contact was attempted via phone from the following numbers:

I understood after submitting the form you are supposed to receive a list of steps you should take for safety. I didn't receive anything, would love feedback on this.

Did you put a real email address in the form, or a disposable address? The email must be able to receive email.

Delete your WhatsApp.
Also, one of the steps is changing your phone number, so they cannot contact you there.

Real one, the same I registered this account with! I got the verification email. Perhaps I typed it in wrong? Can you send it again to this account's email? Via PM?

I have received similar messages from the same fake tinder profile a few hours ago. They tried contacting me twice on WhatsApp but I have blocked both numbers. Blocked insta (from the account that was mentioned earlier in the thread) and reported it both on insta and fb. The conversation initially started on tinder and moved to skype where there was video too.

Any help would be appreciated.

I haven’t been contacted since. My only response to WhatsApp messages was “I will contact the police” and the I blocked the number.

I am not going to pay any money.

Please share any post 2 days experience if anything happened?

Please go to our blackmail site. Fill out the form with as much information about the scammer as possible. Then do all of the steps to protect yourself. You can get there by clicking the bubble above "Webcam Blackmail Help".

Please don't report free profiles like Instagram and Facebook. Once they are closed the scammer just opens new ones in minutes that are not posted anywhere online to warn other victims and potential victims.

Already filled out the form, deactivated my facebook and blocked the the WhatsApp numbers from where I received the blackmail threats. Nothing more so far from the scammer.

Delete your WhatsApp.
Also, one of the steps is changing your phone number, so they cannot contact you there.

Make sure you do this if it continues.

I have blocked the scammee from FB, Instagram (he didn’t know my
insta), WhatsApp (both numbers) and Skype

prevent someone else from being scammed.:
I did not send any money. My only response to WhatsApp threat was “ I
will report to the police”.
