True story - as a teenager I was once refused entry to a pub because I always wore jeans, a white shirt and a waistcoat with the shirt untucked. They wouldn't let me stay unless I tucked my shirt into my trousers, at which point I drunk my pint outside and left rather than do what they told me to do.
