With Skype closing down in May, I decided to take the plunge and sign up with a new provider for our contact number. We've dropped our US number and replaced the UK one with something a little closer to home. What do I mean by that? I live near Swansea in the UK, in what I've often described as a tiny little farming village about a 20-30 minute drive away, where the sheep outnumber the people. No shops, no school, no pub (!!!), not even a set of traffic lights. Though of course, what with it being Wales, we do have two chapels. Trust me, if you know Wales you'll know that could apply to pretty much any village here! This time around I've gone for a Swansea based number and even found one that ends in 419. I've been trying to work out a way to make the number easily rememberable. The first two numbers are 93, which I'm currently using "We Fight" to remember. I'm trying to come up with a better one, but for the moment that's what I'm using. If you look at a phone number pad you'll see that 9 has W, X, Y and Z as the letters on it, and 3 has D, E and F. I'm working on some ideas where the 3 uses the word "Fraud" instead, but options are limited with the first word having to start with W, X, Y or Z. If I come up with something that works, I'll let you know. Having a way to remember numbers easily is in my eyes an important thing, and I always love trying to find ways to do it. Maybe that's just me though.
