I mean if you can ask two of your friends to report the fake facebook profile it will probably get killed.

Yes I did, the profile is deleted now.
Some of my friends accepted the request.
Some have reported and blocked the profile.

Not sure what information they got from them to reach me.
Hopefully they don't contact any of my friends.

I'm glad the fake profile is deleted.
If you receive any contact from the scammer then you should go back to the blackmail website and do all of the steps again.

Could you provide some more info on your scam? Did you pay a lot when it first happened? It doesn’t make any sense why your scammer would come back after 2 years of no contact. They usually only come back for females from what I understand. Did they try to message any of your friends?

Scammer is trying out to My friends after 2 years.

Looks like, the scammer screenshot my LinkedIn contacts while I got scammed.

Now, he has created a FB account using my name and sending Friend request to those LinkedIn contacts.

What should I do, please suggest me

Just out of interest, was it ever actually established if it was the same scammer or an unrelated scam? They may have nothing at all to do with each other, and you're assuming it's the same scammer.

Yes, probably that's the reason.

Hello gents.

I was scammed approximately 3 months ago. I'm for the most part passed all of this, but I've never told anyone and I feel as part of a full recovery process I'd like to just tell my story to get it out, so I can move on more than anything. If I've put anything in the wrong thread I apologize.

I found this site a month afterwards and reading the admins replies whenever I felt bad pushed me thru. In fact I screenshotted their replies on many posts so I could just pull them up. Yes, I read all the whatif thread, and this one among anything else.

Okay, so admittedly my case never seemed as serious. Like many I was on a site and saw a profile. It was almost like bait...it just had a kik username to contact. So I did. In the back of my mind I knew it was a scam, so I created the kik just for it with a fake name. They didn't respond for a week but then popped up asked me to get on Skype, I couldn't, then disappeared. Then they replied a week after that, we chatted more, they asked my name and I gave them a completely different fake name (lol) and for a picture (I was only shirtless). Anyway, they got me on skype filmed nude and even got me to turn around show all my backside too. Of course the playback popped up with the threat and I didn't engage at all, as soon as I saw myself I ended the chat, deleted the skype, deleted the kik.(Wish I would've seen this site before) I've never heard a word since. I'm not worried about them I know they're gone, there's no one to even contact they never had anyone to contact. I have one social media and deactivated it for a month, set the Google alerts, etc. Never anything.

The weird thing initially it didn't bother me, only like a month later I started with the whatif process and found myself doing what all do, googling everything, scowering porn sites, typing in infinite key words. You see I was never concerned about them sending anything to anyone in particular, I just got this idea in my head that when they finished they'd just upload it to some porn site just to do it before they deleted it. I know, I know, "the video" thought. I know they get rid of them, I've just created this idea that mine took so long in between the initial responses that they were just some solo part time guy or something and had time. I dunno. I know I know, what would be the point? Why would they create a porn account each time to upload a video or if they did this all the time they couldn't have a porn account full of blackmail videos.

But here are a couple questions I suppose.

Are They typically working in many "fishing holes" at once to why the initial responses were drawn out? Or since it was like a week between each one: from their first response, to the intial attempt to get me on skype, to getting me on; are they on like shifts in some of these circles or something?

Also- in my initial video there was like a logo in the top corner. That looked like words written in semen or something, lol. Are you familiar with this, I don't remember what it said but I figured it was some part of the scare tactic of the scam. It was never a concern I'm just curious.

Anyway, thank you all. It felt good to just type it out. You helped tremendously. Move thread if needed or whatever and if you have any response thanks. I'll look for that, but otherwise, if nothing I'm done. I knew the scammer was gone and couldn't find me, I just was nonsensically hanging myself up.

The logo was just that - the logo of the software they used to record your webcam. I'll bet pounds to pennies it was an unregistered or trial version they were using as they often put their watermark on the videos until you pay for the full version.

The scammers can work dozens of people at a time, so quite often they'll string you along until they have the time to do the main scam.

See, simple answers to your questions. Glad you found us and got the help you needed.

Cool I appreciate it. Last thing...I entered the details the best I could of the scammer when I first found this site but couldn't remember much,, but I went back through all the ones listed in the threads and found the one that got me posted by someone else.

Same name, website found on, method to contact, and how to pay...bitcoin. should I enter again or if it's listed is that good enough?

Unless you have additional information concerning the scammer that is not already posted here there is probably no need to do another form.

You can also go directly to the topic and add any additional info yourself.
