@ aladdinadila They are scammers running an import/export scam. Please read: Africa Import/Export Scam
No real company uses a free email address, especially one selected to match their supposed company name. They are also using pre-paid mobile phone numbers. Please read: Identifying Obvious Scam Websites

Again, if you had simply Googled the phone number of this company you would have seen that they are supposedly selling all kinds of different products which they obviously do not possess. Look at this ad here: http://tradezz.com/corp_1352153_generixgroupco.ltd.htm

Company Introduction

generixgroupco.ltd ,established in 2001 . We is an exporter of Cameroon Offset Paper products. With independent export rights, our products have been exported to North America South America Eastern Europe Africa Northern Europe Southern Europe, etc. we can provide high quality products because the quality is the basic of a product. We sincerely invite you to contact us!

Company Information

Business Type : Manufacturer, Trading Company, Distributor/Wholesaler
Year Established : 2001
No. of Total Staff : 101 - 500 People
Products/Services : a4 paper,newsprint papers,glosy paper,kraft paper,etc
Main Markets : North America South America Eastern Europe Africa Northern Europe Southern Europe

Business Card

Company Address : 45 magalaga road
Postal Code : 237
Company Phone : 237-70515237
Contact Person : Mr. generix groupco.ltd
Contact Person : 237-70515237

So they don't just sell peanuts, they sell paper too? And the don't have a website though they have been in business since 2001 and sell all over the worlds and have at least 100 staff people? Doesn't make much sense does it? I suggest you do not attempt to do business with any company in Cameroon as you will simply get scammed. You also need to start using the services of Google.

If you found them on the internet especially on a B2B network and they are from Cameroon, they are scammers. Don't waste your time or risk your money with any "offer" coming from Cameroon. Its as simple as that. Reading through this thread would quickly show you that. Additionally, no real company uses a free email address especially one chosen to match their supposed company name. scams from cameroon
after we got almost hit by a 'goldmember' via alibaba I started to look into all these listings. You are right: there is not a single legitimate one. I even found one in the UK. Really cute chat: when I asked them for business credentials and so on he replied: you are really bad, you know.

Alibaba and the likes should not allow any un-verified suppliers on their site, period!

It's an obvious scam. The website is a free hosted/sub-domain no real company would use. Please read: Identifying Obvious Scammers and Their Websites We have yet to see a legitimate offer from anybody Cameroon. You are advised to not deal with the country period. Any request for any kind of advance fee is always a scam!

Best hairs SCAM SCAM SCAM
Hello all aspiring virgin hair sellers. About 2 weeks ago I contacted a company, Best hairs, about possibly purchasing virgin hair for my company. They sent me this message :

26-30inches $55/pack
32-36inches $65/pack
Payment
here in Malaysia paypal is not yet effective ,some times payment does not even go through but they confirm so is a very poor system so for small payments we do western union ( you can pay online using your credit card go to westernunion.com) or Bank to Bank transfer

below of some of our tracking numbers from shipments days ago as you can see they did received their parcel and this are orders from 5 to 10 kg upward http://www.dhl.com

 Selangor, 43390 Malaysia
 best.hairs@yahoo.com

too good to be true right? So I placed a sample order to test the quality of the hair. After placing the order and sending funds, via western union, they told me that DHL was "supposedly" offline so they couldn't send the hair that day, but would send the hair the next day. Here is what he/she sent:

Hello
sorry for the delay , we have been at dhl in our area but their systems were down ,so they told us to come tomorrow early morning please as soon as we do that we will send your tracking

Thanks for understanding

I waited patiently. The next day it was some other excuse saying send more money then we send hair. Here is what he said specifically:

Hello
sorry about the delay we have been trying to send the parcel but the customs will not allow it they say our insurance scheme has change , that as a company we are to ship not less that 1 kg of hair , because our insurance does not covers so you will need to add 6packs to the initial 4 packs so that it makes 1 kg that way our insurance will covers for and the customs will allow us to ship out your parcel
Thanks

I asked for a refund. This was some type of set up I could tell. Thank God I did not order more than I could stand losing, but please let this be a lesson to new and old in the virgin hair industry.
I've imcluded more information about the company that they may send you in regards to sending money. i'm sure by now they have changed the name of the company but not their pick up persons.

here is the western union payment address

FIRST NAME......................... GUAYLE
SECOND NAME........................SPENCER

ANSWER...........................................FRIEND

when you done email the MTCn and the senders name we will then set up the delivery and provide your tracking code

Transconmover is a scam just like all the others. Their website was created in April of this year, which is becoming typical of scammers wanting to lend credibility to their frauds. The company of course, doesn't exist.

Re: Cameroon Business Scams

Unread postby Radian » Tue Aug 26, 2014 3:08 pm

While I agree that all of these are very likely scams, I do not agree with the premise that every business in Cameroon that uses a free email address, doesn't have a website and uses a prepaid mobile phone is a scam.

I have lived in Cameroon for 8 years. Most people and many, many legitimate businesses in Cameroon ONLY have a mobile phone - and it is almost always prepaid. Most businesses (even legitimate ones) do NOT have a website, or, if they did, it no longer functions. Even if you look at the Cameroon government's website, you will find things that are years out of date and pages that are no longer updated. Also, many, many Cameroon businesses only have a Yahoo email address.

You may think, living in the first world, that everyone has a web presence because it's so cheap, but many Cameroonian businesses do not have internet in the office purely because they would not use it often enough to justify it.

If you are only going to deal with Cameroonian companies that have their own email address, website and a landline, then you are likely to be supporting a company that is established, with strong government connections or French-owned. That sounds great, until you consider the level of corruption in the country and the way the well-connected and the French have the habit of milking the people dry with their corrupt practices.

So, while I would agree that the offers referred to on this page are not legit, I don't think your reasoning (no landline, no website & only a free email) is sound in a West African (particularly Francophone Africa) context.

Let's not forget the fact that these so called businesses have spammed out their format, often to email accounts specifically set up by baiters for the sole purpose of being a place to harvest them. That or the fact that people have reported them because they were scammed by the bogus company. If they're posted here, then they're posted here for good reason. So while your comments have merit, they're also based on only seeing half the story. Believe me, if we weren't 100% sure the fake companies mentioned were scammers, we wouldn't have them posted here.
