Phishing Scam for iTunes Gift Cards
Feb. 21, 2019 Avoid phishing scams by alerting IT security if something curious hits your inbox.

Avoid phishing scams by alerting IT security if something curious hits your inbox.

A phishing scam is hitting University of Arkansas inboxes. The message appears to come from a university administrator or dean. The recipient is instructed to pick up iTunes gift cards, then provide the 16-digit code on the back of the card via the phone, text or email and await reimbursement.

If you receive an email of this type, do not follow the instructions and do not respond to the email. Forward the email to security@uark.edu.
