There are scams everywhere we turn. Do you know what scams are out there? Do you know what to do if you have been scammed? What about if you were called to interpret in a situation involving a scam, are you ready? This is an opportunity for both interpreters and deaf participants to learn about scams. After that to work together to discuss how to best interpret in scam scenarios. There will also be time to discuss what Deaf consumers expect from interpreters in these scenarios and what interpreters can actually do while being in compliance with the RID Code of Professional Conduct.
