She asked me if I would buy a video and I told her I don't watch videos
of other women and that I did not watch porn. She then sent my profile pic
with two pics below it, one with a penis and one a partial nude and she
threatened to expose me.

What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?:
I contacted the woman on whatsapp from an ad she had on locanto. We swapped
pics. Later that evening she recontacted with my pic and a couple of nude
pics without a head and blackmailed me. I immediately blocked her on
whatsapp and then deleted my account. I tried to delete the pic I sent to
her but she had already downloaded it.Two days later she tried to call my
cell phone several times. I had it turned off because it is actually a
second phone that primarily use for cycling. I ignored the calls and then
last night I received a threatening message which I have attached above.
I shared it with my wife and told her what was going on. This-morning I
went to my cell phone vendor and canceled the number and had them
deactivate it, which may take a few hours. I changed my name and location
on my FaceBook account and removed all pictures while setting the highest
security settings.
To my knowledge the scammer lives in Pretoria, South Africa or in that
vicinity.

prevent someone else from being scammed.:
Don't chat with complete strangers online. I know better but stupidly
made contact anyway.

Money market from a pick n pay in Sandton. The transaction is facilitated
by Tymebank, and Tymebank gives a voucher to the account holder

What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?:
Deactivated Facebook and LinkedIn. I have not yet cancelled WHATSAPP or
changed numbers. should I? They have been sending me messages daily asking
me when I will be back in SA to make another payment of circa 20,000rand.

I have also been getting my on missed calls from other numbers but no
messages left. +2037258356 (Egypt), +224622486791 (Guinea) and +639757268094 (Philippines)

I asked a cyber company if they could tract the numbers. They said they had
some success gaining a name from someone at Tymebank. I am not sure I trust
this information, but happy to provide if relevant

I searched this site and someone has provided a similar story thought their
Catherine has a different surname but the same account number to send the
money. So it is the same team. The only difference is that they found said
Catherine on Locanto. I have googled Locanto and there does seem to be
traces of Catherine on Locanto. I was there 11 Feb, so perhaps there is an
add for my Catherine at the same time

I was searching their numbers and found a post on your site. I attach that
