I was blackmailed on Christmas Eve. This girl contacted me via Skype. I was drunk and I stupidly sent her photos. She somehow found outt phone number. I have closed down my email account, and I don't answer her calls. She wants 200 euro or else she will send the pictures to YouTube, face book and report me to the police. She is in Ghana and she goes by the name of Ama Garbia. I am a nervous wreck here. I have tried to block their phone number on my phone. What else should I do. She rings at least 4 times a day

Post up the scammer's details here. Firstly, they're full of crap and prove it when they say they're going to send photos to YouTube. Completely block the - actually, just look at the video on viewtopic.php?f=20&t=580 which will pretty much cover what you need.

They also said that the photo will be printed in the Daily Graphic newspaper in Ghana and that they will tell the police in my country. The guys name on the text message is Mumuni Sina. The phone number is +233 245081572. The email is amia.gariba@yahoo.com. This is her Skype name as well. How long do you think they will be calling me? I'm really nervous

Just ignore them for a few days and it'll be fine. Can you recheck their details for us?

We called the scammer and he's thicker than a stump. Just ignore him and he'll go away pretty quickly.

To get the SkypeID, right click your mouse on the contact name, then click on "Profile." After you get that to us, you can block the name. Wayne is right, I have talked to thousands of scammers on the phone before, and this guy can barely tie his own shoes, and forgot his scamming name even.
If anyone asks you for money on the Internet they are always a scammer, 100% of the time.

One of our associates in Ghana called this scammer with a Ghana mobile phone. He threatened to hunt the scammer down in Accra. The scammer freaked out. I believe he's hiding somewhere now :D
