Re: I am being black mailed by a girl on Skype

Has anyone ever heard of one of these blackmail scammers actually following through and delivering the video to the victim's contacts? I fell for the scam a couple weeks ago on FB. I just immediately blocked the 'girl' -didn't send any money or respond in any way after 'she' announced that it was a scam. But then I began to worry quite a bit as I realized just how vulnerable I am. So far I haven't heard anything more about it. I'm a little concerned that some of my friends/family may have been exposed to the video taken of me and just haven't said anything to me about it. But it makes sense that it would not be in any scammer's best interest to do so -they are in the money making business, not the life-ruining business.

jeppey,

Searching by names will not lead you to the scammer, but more often to real people, so I deleted the name you posted.

You need to read our main topic, and follow all of the advice there, especially deactivating your FB profile for 2 weeks.
