How much money did they demand?: 10000
Name you were told to send the money to. : Karen Linao
What country/city were you told to send the money to?: Philippines
If they gave you a phone number, please add it here.: N/A
If they showed you your video on a website, can you post the site and account they posted it with.: Youtube (It was private)
How were you to send the money ?: Western Union
What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: * I changed Skype password and quit using account. I also went to Skype page and removed all details.
* I updated Facebook security settings and have de-activated for three weeks.
* Once I read the site and found it, I started to follow all guidelines outlined but unfortunately had already given some money but have stopped.
* I blocked e-mails accounts to prior e-mail account and have de-activated that account tonight.
* I have personally started counseling as this was a wake-up call for my bad and destructive behavior.
* I deleted the account on Fu**book.com.
* I did not report their profile.
* I took video posted and reported it five days after to Google through website aligned on site. Google removed it.
* I setup Google Alerts, Trackur, and SocialMention real-time RSS feed to RSS reader.
I also blocked scammer on Skype before I changed Skype password/reset all information/disabled what was available publicly.
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed, no matter how trivial it may seem at the time.: Do not Skype Video with someone who asks and do not start online chatting when very tired or under the influence.
