As Time Ticks By - My Update

Unread postby Redfaced » Mon Jan 05, 2015 1:39 am

Hello,
I am a new survivor and I would like to try and give other new survivors reassurance as long as they follow all the steps provided the outlook can be positive. Bear in mind I am only coming up to the 48hr mark myself. :D

0 - 1hrs
Feel sick, Panic, Horror, Pay or Not to Pay

1 - 2 hrs
Clear head and think. Google search, find many other cases and this site

2 - 3 hrs
Block, Delete, Deregister, Change photos of all online accounts

4 -8hrs
Can't eat no appetite. Reading, searching, reading ,searching of content to find answers

8 - 24hrs
Checking emails, Google searches of myself very regularly.
Cover story being finalised in head for when questions are asked from family and friends.
Getting reassurance from other people stories.

24hrs - 48hrs
Manage sleep, eating , a bit more relaxed but still the apprehension in the stomach. Still checking emails and searching Google but not as regularly.
Being thankful I never populated all personal detail on Skype, Facebook etc.

Cheers

Also forgot to mention that after the cease contact moment with the scammer that no other contact with myself, family or friends.

Have assurance that what people say to do and what 99.9% of those outcomes are, are true fact, it will help rest your mind which will no doubt be ticking over 100MPH.

Hi All,
Well fellow survivors it's coming up 72hrs and not a word from anyone. Feeling a lot better and not missing the online world. Still get the odd knot in the stomach when checking emails but other than that doing well.
Too all the newer survivors, have faith.
Cheers
