What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: I have deleted my instagram and set my facebook so that it is not searchable by anybody except my friends. Also deleted my google plus account.
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed.: Definitely don't pay i to the first time. They will keep trying to exhort you for more money everytime. At first they said they would delete the video. Afterwards they deleted the video and then coerced me into sending them more money to delete from their recycle bin. Next they made a fake facebook account with the video and my name threatening to send it to all my family members. I have since reported the fake profile and it has been deleted. At this point I came to this site.

Open and free platform like Okcupid can be easily targeted. Validate the other person's identity is necessary. That's its safer to use location based dating app with facebook account validation.

And don't panic and don't let the criminals play your fear! Also protect your facebook privacy, don't let other people easily see who are your friends and who do you follow!

They have deactivated thier okcupid account.
I have not blocked them on skype. Skype in thier only channel to me currently now I think.
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed.: Thier OKCupid account only had one profile picture many people usually have multiple.

have filed a cyber crime with the fbi

have alerted a friend at facebook who assured me no nudity will go on the site

changed my facebook security settings - friends private, removed profile picture, changed password, no one can tag me without my permission.
