How were you to send the money ?: Western Union
What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: Blocked them from Skype and Okcupid, deactivated my Facebook and Okcupid accounts, cleared all private data on my Skype profile.

I reported their profile to OkCupid and Skype before I found this site (sorry, I expected that to be the right thing to do). I also sent an email to Interpol explaining the situation.
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed, no matter how trivial it may seem at the time.: The scammer claimed to be from Nevada City. They also said they would send the video to CNN, though I have no idea what purpose that would have. Clearly CNN isn't going to broadcast my pathetic webcam video.
