Some lesbian girl has blackmailed me online?

Unread postby monroe » Thu Aug 23, 2012 2:34 pm

So, I met this '15-year-old' lesbian girl from chathour. Well we MSN-ed and video called. She told me if i wanna see her cam i said 'yes' but only for friendly purposes not anything cybersexual in nature. I just wanted to be friends with her. Suddenly i was so surprised she started stripping off. >.<
Well i told her im straight i just wanna be friends.
she saw my webcam, my face and my trunk but I seriously had grey t-shirt so it's not immodest! She told me i should lower the cam down so she cud see my body so i lowered it, but i really had modest clothing and she told me im sexy.

Then, I like reprimanded her that im not interested in anything sexual since Im conservative and i have religion. Well, the last time we videocalled, she showed me my video cam which she recorded. She recorded the one where I lowered the cam quickly.

She told me she'll post it on porn website if I don't show my ***.
Afterwards, I signed off and shut down the computer. I am so scared!

Note: I wore grey t-shirt! My boobs are not shown. And one more thing, I NEVER STRIPPED OFF OR DID ANYTHING NAUGHTY ON CAM. I even looked serious all the time.

Please. I'm so worried. What should I do? I decided I won't contact her ever on MSN or go to chatrooms anymore.
What should I do she has my video! Im afraid she'll spread it.

IM ONLY 15.

BTW, I have chat logs from my MSN and I memorized her hotmail address.

Last note: I ONLY WORE GREY T-SHIRT WITH HIGH-CUT ON THE NECK BUT IT WAS A BIT TIGHT. AND MOST OF ALL, I NEVER DID ANYTHING NAUGHTY/SEXUAL OR REVEALED ANY OF MY PRIVATE PARTS AT ALL. I ALSO DIDN'T SEND OFF 'SEXUAL' HINTS/VIBES ON WEBCAM. I REALLY LOOKED NONCHALANT AND SERIOUS ON CAM.

IF YOU WANT ME TO POST THE CHAT LOGS, I AM WILLING TO DO SO.

Hi Monroe!

You're a smart gal for only being 15. You did everything right and you seriously have nothing to stress about. A video of you panning the camera over yourself fully clothed is of NO interest what-so-ever, to anyone you'd care about. Thank this creepy girl for teaching you a quick, relatively painless lesson. There are jerks all over the internet, both male and female, young and old. You are the only one who is in control of yourself and you never have to do anything you don't want to do. And what's awesome is you know you don't want to do anything immoral, immodest or embarrassing.

You can block all her contact avenues so you don't have to deal with her any longer.

As for reporting her . . . well, if she's really only 15, I don't think you should. She's young and still learning what she can, should and/or should not do on the internet. Let this be a learning experience for her as it was for you; she did destroy a potential friendship by her actions. Let's hope she changes for the better from your example.

Hi. You did the right thing by not giving in to their demands. The more they did, the more they would demand of you. It's a common and very scary scam that's being called sextortion. It's most likely the person whose video you saw isn't ther person you were talking to, but someone abusing stolen webcam footage. Don't worry, they won't post it on any porn site. As you say, you were fully clothed, so there'd be nothing to post on them. As you're a minor, I would recommend you tell your parents about this. The person is a criminal and is doing this to others too, who may not be as strong as you. Also, please post up everything you have here about them so others can be warned about this person. If your parents want to talk to me more about this type of scam, they can find my email address on the main page of the site.

To give you an idea of how bad it could have gotten, read http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2012 ... am-slaves/

Your parents may be angry to start with at what you did because they likely won't understand it, but you showed yourself to be a sensible enough person not to fall for what this scammer was trying to do and good enough to know that what they wanted was wrong. As a parent myself of someone the same age as you, I can tell you that's very important.

Thanks everyone :) I still feel a bit threatened(psychological stuff) but at least, I know I ain't in danger.
I'm aware that I did a really really horrible mistake by associating with this gal(if ever she's a gal at all)
All I need is time to recover...

But if all things happened the other way around, like I stripped off or something, what could have happened? Will that video circulate on porn sites?be traded and be downloaded by porn feeders?

Since you and we do not know who this person is, there is no telling what could have been done with it, either for their own selfish benefit or used to harm you more. Best advice is to keep you clothes on online.
Scammers and bad people can hurt you if you take them off. Even real boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands or wives can and do sometimes get vindictive and turn on you. Why give anyone ammunition to use on you later?
If your friends don't know the dangers of webcamming, you can help by letting them know, too.
If anyone asks you for money on the Internet they are always a scammer, 100% of the time.
