Hi all,
firstly having read this forum it has put my mind at ease a bit but im still panicing.
I was scammed on skype last night, they asked for 1000 usd.
I read this forum and deactivated my facebook and skype but they still have the pics of me and my friend list on Fb.
Before i shut down my fb account i posted that i had been 'hacked' and not to accept any frind requests or messages.
Woke up this morning and y brother had received a friend invite from a random with my face in the pic.
Its still early days and im i a bit of a mess. Just hoping that noone accepts the friend request or sees anything. ive set up google alerts but still panicing a bit as i cant see whats going on on Fb.

Thanks,

T

We usually say not to report FB profiles, but in this case I would as they're using your photo. If you go to http://www.scamsurvivors.com/bmform.htm and complete the details, you'll see a link with the steps needed. On top of those, be sure to report the FB profile to get it removed.

Thanks, I've reported it and filled out the form. They tried to contact my sister as well but my family know what has happened.. Bit embarrassing but they are pretty liberal so have been supportive. More worried if any of my friends have been contacted although I haven't heard anything in 8 hours now.
Thanks for the support and advice. Happy new year,
T

I've set up the alerts. Heard nothing in 24 hrs so hopefully that this is the last of it. I'll leave fb deactivated for another 2 weeks at least just to make sure. Thanks for all the info on this site, it has really helped to calm my nerves.
