I have read through nearly all of the content on this website relating to being blackmailed through Skype using sextortion. I am still unclear about a couple of things though. Should I or should I not deactivate my Facebook account? The only reason I wish not to is that I have no phone and Facebook is my only communication. This is not a problem in itself. The problem is that if I delete it I will have no way to be contacted by any friends or family concerning them receiving the webcam video of me if this happens. This is something that greatly concerns me, and not knowing would drive me insane. But if it is truly necessary for me to deactivate it for a time, I am willing to do that. My other question that I can't quite derive the answer from even through all the vast information on here is the timeline concerning blocking the perpetrator on Skype. I convinced the blackmailer to give me 24 hours to gather up the money to give me time to think upon the matter and figure out just what to do. But when tonight comes around, and I haven't paid, I won't have any way of knowing where or what videos have been posted unless I get the links from the blackmailer. So should I block them immediately or wait? I did fill out the Google alert form, but will this tell me when a video is uploaded to a porn site or Youtube? Thanks!
