Yep, ignore and delete anything you get. Don't even open it. Throw it right in the trash.

There may be a way to call your phone company and ahve any calls from his number blocked, or any correspondance from that area blocked. Just let them know someone is harrassing you. If that is not an option ignore him, he will give up eventually once he realises he can not make any money off of you. Be strong the point is to get your money not to actually post the video.

Thanks a lot for the support. He uses an app that makes his number appear that he is calling from my city. So I get phone calls from numbers I don't know, but they turn out to be him. I won't answer any phone calls now, no matter where they are from.

How much money did they demand?: $600
Name you were told to send the money to. : Farouk Nouari
What country/city were you told to send the money to?: Morocco
If they showed you your video on a website, can you post the site and account they posted it with.: YouTube, NA
How were you to send the money ?: Western Union
What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: De-friended and blocked from Skype, account then deleted
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed, no matter how trivial it may seem at the time.: I almost sent him $100, but because I was freaking out I messed up the order on Western Unions website. This one insists your cam stay on even as he tries to get information from you...last time I'm on a cam site

Help yourself by helping others - report your scammer here.
Google can be your best friend;use it if you have doubts about someone met online. If someone met online only asks for money, no matter what reason, it´s 100% scam.

What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: He is still pestering me for the first payment on Skype - I am not responding, but I plan to block him on Skype. I have also changed my Facebook privacy settings, although I fear this may be too late.

How were you to send the money ?: Western Union
What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?: Blocked on Skype, deactivated my Facebook.
Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help prevent someone else from being scammed, no matter how trivial it may seem at the time.: At first I attempted to pay (a smaller amount than the 3700), but the payment didn't go through. They told me they would be online in the morning to guide me through a call to Western Union. They were not online though, and I blocked them instead.

The scammers do have my email. They have not yet contacted me after 36 hours.
