What steps, if any, have you already taken to block the scammer?:
I deleted my facebook, linkedin and twitter profiles. He created fake
facebook id on my family member name and got phone numbers from some
contacts saying mobile lost/reset. Deleted the skype account.

Deleted impacted family member original facebook account and whatsApp
account and alerted contacts to not open links.

I created google alerts on my name.

Alerted some friends, family and coworkers to not open any links and chat
with ids pretends to be me.

Are there any other details you wish to share? Anything you say may help
prevent someone else from being scammed.:
Scammer still trying to reach me on whatsapp and I am immediately blocking.
Scammer sent me text message, tried calling in WhatsApp and texted me in
whatsApp.

I have not delete my whatsApp account yet.

After I was blackmailed with the names of my family members, I did the
following:

4. Deactivated Facebook account and also other social media platforms
5. Filed a complaint to the police immediately
6. Sent a complaint report to Skype and Facebook regarding the blackmail.
Here, skype reacted immediately by blocking and deleting the chats from the
person.

prevent someone else from being scammed.:
Advice from the huge shame lesson:
1. Please try to have control over your desire and do not fall for such
scams as like I did.
2. A stranger cannot be relied on any case but instead please be ready to
face the consequences on the video.
3. Upon video being shared to family, please do convey the truth of you
being blackmailed. This will not haunt you life time but the person who
blackmails will if he knows you give him money for the video.

1. If anyone`s video got shared? If yes, how did you managed deleting it with less or no embarrassment?
2. After the video got uploaded or forwarded to friends or families, were there any further threats?

The scammers rarely ever upload the videos. If the scammer does then they can be removed by request to the site they are uploaded onto and usually are taken down quickly.

The worst thing you can do is send the scammer any money.

I went through that information and the reason I posted here is that the same person who blackmailed with name "Maheshwari" is also threatening me.
Thus, wanted to get the feedback from the person who was really affected with it.

If the person is threatening you then you have not completed all the steps and need to block them wherever they are sending the threats through. The longer you allow the scammer to threaten you the higher the chance they will carry through with the threat.

No contact + No money and the scammer will move to other victims quickly.
