What kind of scam are you talking about? Webcam blackmail? Romance, Lottery? Phishing? what?
Did you give your details to the person in email? What info did you give? Your password to an email account? or what?
Block scammer in email or just do not open any emails from him or any other unknown people, DELETE UNOPENED.

The email was from a person who claimed to be in a refugee camp. I gave nothing but email address. I have already blocked their email as spam. And I will be on guard not to open any suspicious email that may be related-but will do the same with that. Thank you for your advice!

Jacksun,
Can you forward to my email address, please, the emails and pictures you received from this person? You have my email address on the site, under every post I made. Some other people receiving the same messages might be not as lucky as you were and those info may save someone else, if posted.
