Classic example in a recent romance scammed victim case

Sun Sep 27, 2015 1:28 am

We were dealing recent here with a romance scam victim. The victim is not living in an English speaking country. The average monthly wage in that country is slightly over $700. The scammer romanced the victim and managed to cash almost $3000 from that victim in a short period of time.

Before, during and after the scam, other 18 fake profiles were targeting that victim on FB only. From those 18, one was a lottery scam the victim almost felt for.

This is the main reason of closing your online profiles while being targeted by a scammer. Does not matter if they managed to get your money or not - they will never gave up as long as they have a way of contacting you.

If that is happening on a single social profile, it is easy to imagine what is happening in that victim email account - how many other scams will target that victim and how often.

Consider everything used with a scammer compromised and change it: email addresses, online profiles, phone numbers. If not, the risk are to be targeted again and again. No matter how bad this might sound, sooner or later you may be a victim of another scam and you are the only one able to avoid this to happen.
