Perhaps they are trying to mitigate responsibilities and lessen their involvement in collecting huge profits for sending to scammers? :x
I don't see anything about reduced rates in the USA site so far...
If anyone asks you for money on the Internet they are always a scammer, 100% of the time.

If it wasn't such an insult to the scam victims, I could cheerfully rip their heads off --- which I think I might just do.

Talk about covering your ass......what a discusting thing to do.

Glad I picked the name Ruffled Feathers, the hair on the back of my neck is standing on end right now.

I wrote on their FB wall about it last night. They replied with this:

"Western Union Hello Wayne ScamSurvivors we have read your post and we do apologize for the way that you feel in regards to the promotion that is going on for Africa. Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any further questions or concerns. Best Regards.."

Today I see they've removed that and my comment.

Omfg ... it has been evident over the years that Western Union does not care about scam victims, but this is THE most irresponsible move I have seen them make yet.

I intend to share this info on my facebook and twitter pages ... hope others will do the same. Enough bad publicity might help Western Union reconsider their position ... we can hope anyway.
