A friend was telling me this story last evening - he does alot of work in Europe and with a gentleman from Italy, who buys and sells gold. This gentleman heard of a group of West Africans selling gold in Holland at extrememly low prices.
He went to meet with these people, had all his gold testing equipment with him, searched the box of gold pieces from top to bottom, it was all bonafide gold. Paid for the box, left, went to his home in Italy, opened the box and it was nothing more than sand........! He has no idea how the box of gold he tested was switched to a box of sand, because the box never left his sight.
So the old expression buyer beware is proven once again.
