I doubt it. Most cam programs will show your cam image as well, so if you didn't see it then odds are it wasn't on.

Ok. Have you ever had any incidents where scammers go back in there chat history/use really old chats to use as threats to get money from you?

Never. Doesn't happen. No worries. :)

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge on how the court systen works?
A few weeks ago, I got scammed using kajiji. Yes - huge lesson learned.
I filed a police report (they seemed generally disinterested) & someone else who got scammed by the same person online posted a warning of this person on the same site.
Eventually, I got notification that he has been recently arrested (YEAH!!!) and my case has been given to yet another police officer... and he is now on vacation so... wait n see I guess (I have very little faith in our legal system..)

So now what? He has already been charged for 21 counts of fraud < 5000 and 10 >5000 & was released from jail in October. Now additional charges will LIKELY be laid, and he's I hope in jail right now.. but what are my rights? How likely is it that I"ll see that money ever again? Can I be notified if he gets released from jail?

If he blew the money - is that it? Gone forever - and aside from jail time, he doesn't get much more ?

Thanks!

We really can't say. The main problem is that the legal system differs all over the world and we're a global community. Something in one state even could be different to the next one along. Best to talk to your local law enforcement officers about it.
