Scam messages on Skype

Unread postby aishasolo » Sun Dec 09, 2012 8:09 pm

Since opening a Skype account last week, I've received "messages" from three high-ranking U.S. and Canadian military officers. Is there a way to track down how this happens and stop it? Does it imply identity theft? Is there anything I can do to stop this? Does it help to report it here?

Usually it's scammers setting up accounts to send their junk through. If you report them, they'll just come back with new names. The best thing is to post up their scam formats to warn others about them.
