Alphabetical scamming.

Wed Jun 13, 2012 1:10 am

Scammers don't just pull names out of their ass. They find them in email lists that have been "scraped" off websites and posted online. When the scammer tells you his sob story about how his ancestors were enslaved by the white man, remember this. They have NO IDEA who they're mailing when they send out their scams. It could be someone on the other side of the world or it could be a fellow countryman. All they have are the email addresses and nothing else. Often you'll see a different email address to start, as the scammer will email himself his format using a different email address. After that, the names are alphabetically arranged. Here's a perfect example from a recent email I received where the scammer forgot to BCC the other recipients.

Don't be fooled by the scammer's lies. All you are is an email address to him and a potential payout. This exaple is perfect as he says this:

Please you are instructed to provide all your particulars:

(1)Your full Name
(2)Your Telephone number

The scammer doesn't even know your name! Think about it....
