The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is an international financial institution that offers investment, advisory, and asset-management services to encourage private-sector development in less developed countries.

The scammers created a bogus IFC Global Development Fund Program, using a fraudulent website active from the domain name ifcgrant.com.

From the fake website:

IFC Global Development Funding Program a World Bank Group initiative aimed at providing strong finance for Global Development & Support for idealistic Projects that promotes life and it's environment.
IFC provides a limited amount of grant funding to business initiatives that innovate in specific practice areas: biodiversity, sustainable energy, and corporate responsibility.


IFC offers a wide variety of financial products for private sector projects in developing countries.
To be eligible for IFC Global Development funding, you must meet a number of criteria

Be located in a country that is a member of IFC
Be in the private sector
Have a working email and phone

Be technically sound and good prospects of being profitable
Benefit the local economy; and
Be environmentally and socially sound, satisfying our environmental and social standards as well as those of the host country.
