Oni Bank - oniintl.com

Unread postby firefly » Sun Feb 16, 2020 8:29 pm

The website is stolen from a Canadian bank. The name used by the Nigerian fraudsters in this case is made-up: there is no Oni Bank to be found anywhere online, except this fraudulent website.

From the fake website:

For over a decade, we’ve been helping Australians reach their long-term financial goals. With our Investment Funds, and access to our licensed experts when you need them, you can feel confident that you’re on track towards your goals. Once we gather some information from you, such as your investment objectives and time horizon, we’ll recommend a Portfolio that suits your needs.

The bank has no location and no phone number, only an email address: info@oniintl.com.

Exchange Bank - exbintl.com

Unread postby firefly » Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:14 pm

Same fraudsters use another fake bank pretending to be Exchange Bank.

The real Exchange Bank was founded in 1890 in Santa Rosa, California, United States.

The fake one was registered in November 2019 and is apparently active from Canada while being used in romance scams targeting mostly Asian victims.

From the fake bank website:

For over a decade, we’ve been helping Britons, Canadians, Americans, Australians and others, reach their long-term financial goals. With our Investment Funds, and access to our licensed experts when you need them, you can feel confident that you’re on track towards your goals. Once we gather some information from you, such as your investment objectives and time horizon, we’ll recommend a Portfolio that suits your needs.
