The fake site claims to be a bank named Emlak Bank Turkey. There was a bank with that name in Turkey, founded in 1946... but that bank is no longer active since 2001. The fraudsters decided to "resurrect" the bank with stolen content from another Turkish bank.

From the fake site:

Emlakbank is a joint stock company established on March 15, 2012. An application was submitted to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency on June 20, 2012 for the operational license which was granted on October 2nd, 2012.

The phone number used is invalid. It has a Cyprus country code, while the so called bank is supposedly active in Turkey.

The fake site was created two months ago and is used in romance scams - victims are shown fictitious bank accounts on the fake site as a guarantee that they will recover the money the scammers are asking for.

The fake site claims to be a bank named SunTrust Bank. The real SunTrust Banks is a bank holding company founded in 1891. The fake one was created two months ago.

The only part not stolen from the real bank on the fake site is an invalid phone number:

The fake site claims to be Facebbok & Powerball Winners List Publications.The fraudulent domain name is used in lottery scams.

The fake site claims to be a bank named Insured Trust Bank. The name is entirely fictitious - there is no bank with that name active online. The fraudsters stolen content from two different banks, complied that content and launched it online on a fraudulent domain name.

After romancing their victims, the scammers provide their login details for their bogus accounts with this non-existent bank, while asking for financial help, with the promise of returning the money.

Insured Trust Bank is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.


There is no location or phone number for the so called bank. The only contact detail posted on the website is:
