Possible brazilian scam

Unread postby supervv » Mon May 29, 2017 2:23 pm

First of all thanks so much for this site, it's a relief to read some stories here of people in the same situation as myself. This site is being my anchor and I did everything you guys say to to do on the blackmailscams link even tho my situation is different.

Secondly sorry for my english.

I'm writing this post because I think my situation is a little bit different from most of the stories here, it starts the same way, I was on a chat "batepapo.uol.com.br" it's a brazilian based chat, and got invited to skype. A couple of minutes later "she" was naked and I went full naked too when my stupid face showing up too.

After playing back my video in "her" webcam I tried to look cool with it, I said "oh wow thanks friend I look really nice in that video, feel free to post it and send me the link, I bet there´s more videos of myself online but I never got the chance to see one".

He said that he is always looking for married man who tells the truth online. So the target are clearly married man that says that he is married and that says he's real name. He said that he will not send me the link and since I'm from another country he will not have the work of blackmail me and that he will post the video.

I said "go ahead", and he said that he found my facebook "look I know your name *****, from city ****** and country ******. I said he didn't find me because he doesn't know my real name and everything else is wrong too, and he said "good for you but we'll see"...

I'm asking you guys what do think about this? Why are they recording if they didn't even ask for money? Or they didn't even tried to blackmail me because they didn't have any chance to find me online and moved on?

My worry is that they are just kids trolling and ruin other people's lives instead of a well organized group of scammers, I think I mencioned my job to them on the chat, and I'm afraid they go ahead and send the video to every poor guy with my fake name on facebook that have the same work as I.

I know it's really hard to have any simpathy for someone who is in a relationship and is on this kind of stuff online, but I need some insight on this situation. It happened almost 5 days ago and I'm tired of see guys jerking off in porn sites looking for my own video and nothing, already flagged a lot of videos on youtube of other poor guys but not mine so far.

I'm considering looking for help to leave porn and this behavior behind and take care of the person I love, it will kill me if she finds out, not for me but for the consequences of my acts will have on her life and confidence.

they are just kids trolling

Could be either one; and we are omnipotent here, but not quite omnicient.

One thing to keep in mind is that scammers and people fooling online for kicks all LIE. So anything they told you about themselves is not true. Best course of action is to follow the steps anyway, just in case, and change ALL your online profiles after going offline on them for awhile.
Don't worry about the person sending links to others with same name if they are scammers, as they do not do that.

Thanks a lot for the reply, already listen to the podcast and read that post even before I made this post, thanks. Let's hope they failed on their attempt to do whatever they wanted to do.

This will make me a better person, It surely made get out of those kind of websites and Skype. Let's it's not to late tho.
