I think you are right. I'm ashamed to take your time asking you questions. But I have to recover urgently. You know this job best. That's why I consulted you. you helped me a lot.

Last question: did they delete my video? Do they archive?

They delete the videos. They are evidence against them if / when they get caught.
Why keep the video if it cannot make them any money?

Hi
I am a victim, the scammer is still trying to reach me through my friends even after 3 years. The big blunder I did is I paid money.

I am not on any social media platform, he is trying to gain my contact information through my friends. I have alerted my friends and family to not accept requests.

But still I'm worried , he is still chasing me

It's highly unusual to have a BM scammer come back after that amount of time. You might consider going to the BM website by clicking the bubble above and reviewing the steps:

Two things will make the scammer go away:
1. No contact from you and if they do contact you, do not respond.
2. Do not send any money.

Hi I was just scammed over this last weekend. The usuall Skype video thing... they got pic and video. I was so humiliated and scarred when they showed the video back to me, that I gave in and sent them money ($300) I thought I was in the clear until the next day they contacted me again and asked for more. I really didint know what to do, I was thinking about getting some money from a friend to pay but I knew this was never going to stop. I finally started thinking like an intelligent human being and started doing some searches on this type of scam and found this site. I cannot tell you how much this has helped. LAst night I completely deactivated FB and Skype, and blocked their numbers on my phone. They texted again this morning with a new number and showed my a screenshot of my wife's FB page... I promptly blocked the new number. I guess at this point I just have to have faith in the process I am following, but being able to read all of your comments here, has been the most helpful and gives me the confidence I need to keep moving forward. Thank you all!

The last thing you should do now is break silence.
Change your phone number if you need to.
No contact & no money and they usually move on quickly.

You should file a police report with your local police.
Then take the police report to wherever you send the $300 through and try to reverse the payment.

BigAl, thanks for the advice. It doesn’t appear my local police department handles this type of online scam, they referred me to the FBI website. I paid through PayPal so not sure if there is any recourse there. I most definitely will not be allowing any further communication. I can keep blocking new numbers as they come in but I doubt they have an unlimited number of fake numbers they want to use on me.

Did you pay through Paypal using the Friends and Family option?
If not you can dispute the charges.
You should also file a report with the FBI at their IC3 website:

I only have whatsapp open. did not reach from there. because I blocked it. I hope I won't be bothered anymore.
