The pictures from the gallery have the real name of the owners just to let the people know whose stolen pictures are used, special when we talk about public figures. For the average people, the family name is never mentioned, for safety reasons.

In most of the cases, we try to warn the real owners about their pictures being stolen and used for scam. They are real people who dont need to be harrased by former victims of the scammers using their stolen pictures. They have their own life and we are totally against any attempt from the victims to contact the real owner of the pictures. It is one of the main rules on this site and if is not respected, despite the warnings, the user will be banned.

Think about this matter changing the places: if your picture is stolen and used for scam, do you believe you want to have anything to do with one person who believe he/she is inlove with you, without even to know the person? Special when the person want to tell you how much time, money and feelings she /he invested in you, while your picture were used for one criminal activity by someone else?

Trying to meet the real owner of the pictures used in scams is just another way to mantain active one fantasy. He is not real. His love is a lie and he will do anything to obtain money. Behind the stolen picture used is someone else, playing with your feelings. Let this fantasy go and try to move forward with your life, please. it´s nothing more you can do.
Help yourself by helping others - report your scammer here.
Google can be your best friend;use it if you have doubts about someone met online. If someone met online only asks for money, no matter what reason, it´s 100% scam.

Another thing to note is that, when we approach them, we do so as an unconnected third party. We weren't scammed by them, but we inform them that their details are being used by scammers. We can also recommend steps to help minimise the damage these scams can cause their reputation. People who were scammed by their photos don't have that disconnect, and we've seen victims harass, abuse and even threaten the people whose photos were stolen on top of trying to create a relationship with them because they already fell in love with the photos. We tell people who the photos are of, but we do so purely to convince them they're talking to someone abusing stolen photos.
