LadyLSSJ,

Do you have the facebook url or name the scammer was using? Any other information to help warn others?

There is a scammer calling themselves "stephanine Gordon" with the email address "gordonstephaine6750@gmail.com". They are using the forth photo on this post. I did the obvious thing and checked a reverse image search using TinEye which then gave me the link to this post. Many thanks for that. As yet this scammer is unaware that I know about them. They have requested we now communicate using Hangouts. I hope this is helpful. They have an Instagram account "gord.on1820" to make initial contact and apparently have 59 followers.

kmill007,

Please stop all communication with them.
Do not tell them you know they are a scammer.
Do not tell them that you reported them here.
Doing this will help save the most victims.

Got matched the other day on Tinder by someone going by Benedite Laurisse, using DanielleFTV profile pics. Claims she’s in Canada, 36, speaks french only. Used translator to txt in english. Even had a 2 minute video chat without any words exchanged, her mic was muted. The picture wasn’t fullscreen though so I suspect she/he has some video footage of Danielle sitting on her bed, fully clothed which they put in front of the camera for a minute or two before they hang up.
The scam was pretty lame though, asked me for money to pay her internet bill so we could keep chatting.
The thing is I already had the same thing asked of me a few months back from someone else who seemed legit, though she didn’t insist, she like casually mentioned she had money problems, can’t pay the bill, would appreciate help. But since I only chatted with her cpl times for 10-15 minutes, I didn’t feel I’m bound to do that. It also started on Tinder, moved to Whatsapp. Next time I said whatsup, she was like “you don’t know how to treat a woman, you’re cheap, left me with no internet, don’t wanna talk to you anymore”. I was like okay :)
And 2 days ago, chatting with “Danielle”, whadda you know, the same “problem”. Her Internet is running out, can’t pay the bill, would I pay it so we could continue chatting. I told her she broke my heart :)
She asked me why what had she done, I didn’t want to tell her right away, wanted it to go on for a bit longer, see what she does next. The video call happened afterwards when I asked to see her selfie made that very moment. She video called me, we were on Skype. It went like I described. Only afterwards I told her she broke my heart :)
Kept asking why, didn’t tell her other than “you know why”.
We did not yet unmatch, although we haven’t spoke since then. She’s like not showing up although I’m not blocked on Skype or unmatched on Tinder yet.
When I did the image search on her profile pic, low and behold it got me straight to DanielleFTV page. I was amazed, I mean a porn star no less!
So I thought I’d report it here.
So it’s Benedite Laurisse on Tinder. I attached a screenshot of her profile here on this post, don’t know if it’ll show up

What name did the scammer use?: Hannah
What site/app did you first meet the scammer on?: FaceBook personals
What email address(es) did the scammer use?: None
What phone number(s) did the scammer use?: (205) 810-0454
Briefly explain what happened during the scam. : This number belongs to a confirmed false identity scammer in Nigeria or Ghana pretending to be a local "romantic interest" girl in Southern California and Birmingham, Alabama. This guy uses photos taken off of the internet to create a false persona (catfisher), pretended to be a lonely, attractive girl...and then tries to get a guy to give her a lot of money as an investment for a business in Ghana, West Africa, after wasting a Guy's valuable time with promises to meet & go out for coffee in Irvine, California.

Before the scammer asks his victim for money, he tries to make the catfish scam more believable by pretending, as the pretty girl, to want to Skype with you the following day. He said (pretending to be a she) that worked for U.S. Aid in Ghana.
Did you send any money to the scammer? If so, how much?: Nope — I never would!

Somebody using these images added me as a friend on Facebook. Using the name Jenny Diana. Says that she lives in London and is a “British Citizen”. Liked about 100 of my posts within 30 minutes and then struck up a conversation.she is trying to convince me to give her my What’s App details. She’s a little pushy. Her language is slightly off and I don’t this think that English is this person’s native language. I kept it going to see what “she” was after and it’s definitely my What’s App details. I understand that a lot of fraud is perpetrated through What’s App. Her profile address is: FB akshay.ray.37454
