Where is the scammer calling from?

This website will give you country and area code listings.

You can also use this website, that has a search function:

If it doesn't say "mobile," then it could be a VOIP number.
Look at "Company" info. Google it. Look for VOIP or VPN services. If so,
then the person is very likely not where they say they are, in fact they
are likely to be in another country. VOIP can be redirected to any mobile
number in the world, or picked up by the scammer at his PC.

Some common companies who have VOIP:
YMax Corp.= MagicJack
Bandwidth.com = Skype and other providers of VOIP
There are hundreds of other companies that provide VOIP.
Scammers especially like to use VOIP or VPN numbers to make them appear to be
in the USA or Canada. If you have doubts on a number after using the links
above, then just ask a staff member or post your information here and we will
check it out for you.
