Car Wrap Scam part 2

Unread postby cknbrpc14 » Tue May 13, 2014 10:39 am

I saw ad on phoenix Arizona classifieds from AMP ENERGY. Stating they would pay $300 a week to me if I let them put stuff on my car to advertise. I thought I'd try it. Today I got the check in the mail. I knew it was a scam but to verify I did some searching. A few things gave it away. 1 the company name on us postal service envelope was from Wware inc. The check looked real. It was for $1750.60 but the check company was different name than amp energy and different from what company name was on envelope. The company name on the check was in Colorado. Company name on envelope was from new jersey. The bank listed on the check was Citibank from Florida. I looked online found a number to call and see if it was a real account. I called and automated voice said enter the 9 digit routing number found on top right hand corner of the check. The numbers on right hand corner and bottom left corner were in fact the same but they were only 6 digits. There for I knew it was fake. Then about 20 minutes later I get a text from the person who sent the check ( I never gave them my phone number) the person asked if I got check and if so to keep $500 and send the rest to the technician who was going to wrap my car. Initially when I said I wanted to do this the person told me in email I'd get check keep my amount and someone would come to my house and wrap it and when he was done I'd pay him the remaining amountfrom the check. When the person today told me to send money I told him/her I knew it was a scam and I would not be cashing it. I then contacted my local PD let them know about it. They documented it and said to go ahead and shred it. I did. Since then this person has continued to text me saying he/she has contacted the FBI and they will becoming to arrest me because iI was stealing/running away with their money. This person gave me name and address to FBI office in st Louis and Newark. I told this person to leave me alone. I got another text saying I must be out of my mind then saying I need to deposit the check and that he/she called their bank and made sure that the funds will be available. I told this person again leave me alone. Got another text in capital letters saying final notice if you do not read this email and comply with it then Iwill be aarrested and imprisoned. The person then gave me address for FBI in Washington DC FBI HEADQUARTERS. I again said leave me alone and got one last text saying jail straight. I contacted the FBI office in st Louis. They let me know indeed this was a scam when the person gave me name and address for FBI in Missouri I asked for number. While waiting I looked it up on my own then got a text with a number so I blocked my number and called it. It was a answering machine for someone's personal number not FBI. this is a scam I want you all to be aware of so it doesn't happen to you. I'm so lucky I did research before doing anything. After speaking with my local PD and FBI I shreaded the check in my shredder this was supposto be from amp energy. Be carefull

The person who has been texting me about the check is still texting me. I just received another text saying I will be going to jail today because I am stealing their money. Person said just watch today you will be arrested. I am not scared the FBI agent said the person will try to scare me. Just got another text saying "you need to deposit the check today okay" this person to me seems like he's/she's never done this before I only think that because this person is trying real hard to scare me into depositing the check and sending him/her the money. I've read about scams. The people normally give up when someone let's them know that they are being scammed. This person isn't. This person is trying to scare me and threaten me.

cknbrpc14,

You must have a real moron scammer. Ignore the messages. Just delete them without even reading them. He will eventually give up when his boss finds out how much time he is wasting on you. Hopefully, he will get his ass kicked. Seriously, the guy is a foolish goat, so do not pay attention to him or be concerned with his idiotic threats.

Yes I agree he must be stupid. I have been ignoring him he just keeps texting I've gotten 48 just in the night since I posted this and I'm waiting according to him I'm going to be arrested today. If it does by some slim chance happen that will be great I'll find out who he is and be able to tell all of you and I'll sue him for all he's got and he won't be able to scam people any more he will finally be on the radar instead of under of. He's acting like he's new.

He is most likely a West African scammer, or maybe a Jamaican scammer. There is no way in hell anyone is going to visit you to collect or arrest you. He is just a desperate criminal with no brain. Kinda like some Jamaicans we talked to on the phone once and made a bunch of calls to. Google, "The Stupid Jamaican Saga." They are on stupidscammers.com. Do not play the calls at work, as they are adult language. And do not try this at home! We make sure we are safe, and this guy knows your real name and details.
If anyone asks you for money on the Internet they are always a scammer, 100% of the time.
