I happen to know a bit about wrapping due to my contacts. If you need any help with some fun questions, let me know.

Tell them the reason you didnt transfer the money to them yet is because the CEO of the bank you have your money in, stole billions of funds, and now people, including yourself lost all their savings. Including the check you sent me. (LOL)

Hello There,

Most companies spend their money on ad agencies, TV commercials, radio spots, and billboards to tell you how good their products are. At Monster we choose none of the above. Instead, we support car Wrap advertising. We back athletes so they can make a career out of their passion. We promote and sponsor concert tours, so our favorite bands can visit your home town. We celebrate with our fans and riders by throwing parties and making the coolest events we can think of a reality.

We are currently seeking to employ individuals worldwide, to help make our products known worldwide by simply branding your car with a Monster ad. It sure sounds cool driving your car with the Monster Energy Drink® ad and make money out of it for doing this.

How it works

Here’s the basic premise of the "paid to drive" concept: Monster Energy Drink seeks people -- regular citizens, professional drivers to go about their normal routine and work as they usually do, only with a big advert for "Monster Energy Drink" plastered on your car. The ads are typically vinyl decals, also known as "auto wraps," that almost seem to be painted on the vehicle, and which will cover any portion of your car's exterior surface.

What does the company get out of this type of ad strategy? Lots of exposure and awareness. The auto wraps tend to be colorful, eye-catching and attract lots of attention. Plus, it's a form of advertising with a captive audience, meaning people who are stuck in traffic can't avoid seeing the wrapped car alongside them. This program will last for 3 months and the minimum you can participate is 1 month.

You will be compensated with $300 per week which is essentially a "rental" payment for letting our company use the space. No fee is required from you, Monster Energy Drink shall provide experts that would handle the advert placing on your car. Adequate arrangements will be made as regards payment prior to making the ad visible on your car.

It is very easy and simple with no application fees required ,we look forward to reading from you soon. If the terms of the above works with you, do provide the information below:

Name :
Full Street Address(not PO BOX) :
APT #
City,State,Zip Code:
Cell Phone Number:
Home Phone Number:
Email Address:
Age:

We shall be contacting you as soon as we receive this information and it is imperative that you check your emails frequently for regular updates and necessary information as this is the frequent mode of communication we use.

Many Thanks,
Alberto OConnell

Monster Energy Drink®

Attn xxxxxxx:

We are pleased to confirm your status as our brand representative. A payment package will be mailed out to you in the next business day or two. The payment will include your compensation for the ad run and that of the decal specialist which has to be transferred. Note that the wrapping of the car will be done at your residence and does not take long and you could be present while the wrap is done. Do acknowledge you have received this email and and we will be in touch with further updates at the best time possible.

Best Regards,
Alberto OConnell

SilverWolfe, I'm sorry that you were scammed by this guy. :(
No, this type of scammer will most likely only pass your email address around to other scammers to send you more scam emails, trying to get you hooked onto some other type of scam. Read around our forum to see the various types of scam emails they could send you. Just delete them.
Don't feel too bad about yourself falling for this for awhile. It's a very believable scam that has a lot of basis in truth.
You are not alone. And I'm sure more will fall of this.
Thanks for posting this to warn others. :)

I've been receiving emails regarding this apparent scam from Kel Augustin <recruit@monster-energydrinks.com offering $200 per week to have my car graphic wrapped. Is it better to ignore future emails from this person or try to help catch him? What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Better to post the emails here, with header information. If that email is associated with a fake website, we can report it for closure. Thanks for joining and posting. :)

I just got the exact same email a couple days ago. Since I'm unemployed, it caught my eye. I knew it could be a scam but figured there was no harm in replying to the first email. The email I got back today was the dead give away. As soon as I read the paragraph telling me I would receive a cashier's check and how I needed to deduct my $300 and get a new one........blah, blah, blah. I'm like you-I would love to play along just to find a way to really mess with them. But it won't really matter. Is there someone I should report them to?

You suggested we post these emails and their header on the forum. At the risk of sounding stupid, how do I do that?
