hello my dear family,

It's been 18 months and I've had no problems. Due to my job, I need to open a new social media account under my own name. what would you recommend me?

Unfortunately I'm still scared, but life goes on.

Good to see you had no problems. After 18 months you should be fine. The scammer should have moved on long ago. Just be careful you don't share too much, and only interact with people you already know or are sure are genuine.

So I matched with a girl on hinge.
We spoke for a bit and then moved to Snapchat where we spoke a little more, she then sent me intimate videos and pictures that I didn't ask for. I feel embarrassed to say as I have never done anything like this before but in the heat of the moment and her peer pressure I sent her a photo/video or 2. She sent me a screenshot of some of my Instagram followers and the videos of mine that she had recorded, and threatened me to pay her and give her more details or else she'd share them. I immediately blocked her and reported her on both Snapchat and Instagram. As far as I know there are only 3 people to receive anything this far, I am just worried what will happen in the future and if this comes back to me at some point or who she sends it to.

I have a rather distinct name so I'm worried that even if I make new accounts someone could still find me. Is it best to delete my Instagram and Snapchat accounts or should I just change the username?  That's all she had me on (hinge but I've deleted that already), no need to delete my email/ phone number do I as she didn't get either of those bits of information. Any advice would be much appreciated !!

I happen to see a FB group which has a list of victims. I'm damn sure those were created by the scammers from Sierra Leone.

What should I do ?
